Electronic educational resources

Electronic educational resources are an integral part modern system education. Usually, an electronic educational resource is understood as educational content in an electronic form that can be reproduced or used with the involvement of electronic resources.

The classification of EOR can be carried out in several directions:

• by type of distribution and use environment - Internet resources, offline resources, resources for "electronic boards";
• by type of content content - electronic reference books, quizzes, dictionaries, textbooks, laboratory work;
• according to the implementation principle - multimedia resources, presentation resources, training systems;
• according to the components of the incoming content - lecture resources, practical resources, imitator resources (simulators), control and measuring materials.

It is also possible to allocate EER for work both directly in the classroom and for independent work of students.

In Russia, at the federal level, EERs of the so-called first and second generations were developed. The first generation includes various DERs - digital educational resources, a vivid example of which can be a platform from 1C. The second generation includes FCIOR resources that can be played using a special OMC player and which are built using SCORM, Java and Flash standards and technologies. The third generation came to the start of design work.

Most educators try to create their own educational resources using proprietary formats like Microsoft PowerPoint.

Unified collection of digital educational resources

The federal repository of the Unified Collection of Digital Educational Resources (Collection) was created in the period 2005-2007. within the framework of the project "Informatization of the education system" (ISO), carried out by the National Training Foundation on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science Russian Federation. In 2008, the replenishment and development of the Collection was carried out from the funds of the Federal Target Program for the Development of Education (FTsPRO).

The purpose of the creation of the Collection is to concentrate in one place and provide access to a full set of modern educational tools intended for teaching and studying various academic disciplines in accordance with the federal component of state educational standards for elementary general, basic general and secondary (complete) general education.
