General information

OJSC Gazprom Neft is a vertically integrated oil company whose main activities are exploration and development of oil and gas fields, oil refining, as well as production and marketing of petroleum products.

The structure of Gazprom Neft includes more than 70 oil producing, oil refining and sales enterprises in Russia, near and far abroad countries. The company processes about 80% of the oil produced, demonstrating one of the best production and refining ratios in the Russian industry. In terms of oil refining volume, Gazprom Neft is one of the top three largest companies in Russia, it ranks fourth in terms of production volume.

Gazprom Neft operates in the largest oil and gas regions of Russia: Khanty-Mansiysk and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrugs, Tomsk, Omsk, and Orenburg regions. The company's main processing facilities are located in the Omsk, Moscow and Yaroslavl regions, as well as in Serbia. In addition, Gazprom Neft is implementing production projects outside of Russia - in Iraq, Venezuela and other countries.

Gazprom Neft products are exported to more than 50 countries and sold throughout the Russian Federation and abroad through an extensive network of its own sales enterprises. Currently, the company's gas station network includes almost 1,750 stations in Russia, the CIS countries and Europe.

Activities

At the end of 2013, Gazprom Neft occupies a leading position among Russian oil companies in terms of hydrocarbon production growth rates. The company's consolidated production in 2013 increased by 4.3% and reached 62.26 million tons of oil equivalent. e. (Fig.1.1)

Gazprom Neft and its subsidiaries have subsoil use rights in 70 license areas located in oil-producing regions of Russia. Abroad, the company is engaged in projects for geological exploration and oil production in Iraq, Venezuela, Serbia, Angola, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania and Hungary.

According to the company’s plans, by 2020, international projects should account for at least 10% of Gazprom Neft’s total hydrocarbon production.

According to the development strategy of Gazprom Neft, by 2020 the company intends to increase production to 100 million tons of oil. e. in year. The ratio of reserves to production will be maintained at this level for at least 20 years, and the share of projects at the initial stage of development should provide at least 50% of production by this time.

The target production level will be achieved both through existing assets and through projects with Gazprom Neft's participation. Expansion of the asset portfolio is also possible through the acquisition of areas of the undistributed fund, the purchase of assets for Russian market and development of projects abroad.

Gazprom Neft is one of the three leaders in terms of oil refining volumes in Russia. At the end of 2013, the volume of oil refining amounted to 42.63 million tons. Compared to 2012, there was a slight decrease (-1.6%), which was due to the repair of primary oil refining units at Omsk. and Yaroslavl Oil Refinery. In 2013, Gazprom Neft retained its position as one of the leaders among Russian oil companies in terms of oil refining volumes (Fig. 1.2.).

Gazprom Neft has five refining assets, the largest of which are the Omsk Refinery and the Moscow Refinery, as well as Yaroslavnefteorgsintez (YANOS, the company's share in refining is 50%). Abroad, Gazprom Neft, through the Serbian company NIS, controls a refining complex consisting of two refineries located in the cities of Pancevo and Novi Sad.

Currently, Gazprom Neft oil refineries are implementing a large-scale program of modernization, reconstruction, and construction of new production facilities. Having completed the first stage of the program, the main goal of which was to improve the quality of petroleum products, the company completely switched to Euro-4 and Euro-5 gasoline standards at all its refineries.

Further strategic goals Gazprom Neft - increasing the depth of oil refining to 90-95% and increasing the yield of light oil products to 80% (Fig. 1.3.).

Among the main types of products produced at the company's plants are motor gasoline, diesel fuel, oils, construction and road bitumen, marine fuels, boiler fuel (fuel oil), jet fuel, paraffin and wax products, as well as a range of aromatic hydrocarbons, liquefied hydrocarbon gases and catalysts.

Gazprom Neft sells wholesale and retail petroleum products produced at own enterprises: gasoline, diesel fuel, automobile oils and lubricants, jet fuel, bitumen materials.

Having one of the most developed distribution networks in Russia, in 2013 Gazprom Neft strengthened its position in the retail petroleum products market, becoming the largest supplier of light petroleum products in the regions where the Company operates. The volume of sales of petroleum products on the domestic market in 2013 amounted to 25.84 million tons.

The company's gas station network includes 1,747 stations in Russia, the CIS and Europe. In Russia and the CIS, the number of Gazprom Neft gas stations was 1,339 stations at the beginning of 2014. According to a study conducted in 2013 by the global information and research company Nielsen, a quarter of Russian motorists call Gazprom Neft their favorite gas station.

The growth in sales of the Gazpromneft gas station network in Russia in 2013 amounted to 13% and reached 8.4 million tons. The average daily sales of petroleum products through one gas station in the country increased by 7.8% and amounted to 19.0 tons.

Four foreign enterprises of Gazprom Neft operate gas stations in the CIS countries - Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.

In the countries of the Balkan region, gas stations are presented under the NIS Petol and GAZPOM brands.

Gazpromneft-Aero sells aviation fuel, Gazpromneft Marine Bunker sells bunker fuel, Gazpromneft Lubricants sells oils and lubricants. These enterprises operate in Russia and countries near and far abroad.

Export of oil and petroleum products to non-CIS countries is carried out mainly through the subsidiary trading company of Gazprom Neft - Gazpom Neft Tading GmbH, (Austria). The company's office is located in Vienna.

In absolute terms, Gazprom Neft oil supplies for export in 2012 amounted to 16.7 million tons, which is 0.6 million tons more than a year earlier. At the end of 2012, Gazprom Neft exported 16.4 million tons of petroleum products, of which 13.5 million tons to non-CIS countries and 2.9 million tons to the CIS countries.
